Actually, I heard this one follows the storyline of the original manga better than the first anime did. I haven't watched Brotherhood yet, so I wouldn't really have a valid opinion about it.
As far as the first anime goes, though, it definitely ruined the manga storyline. (No Ling, No fort Briggs, creation of the homunculi is sketchy, not to mention Envy's true form is totally ruined in the anime.) 'Course, that's just my opinion. Just thought I'd throw that out there.
Sounds fair. I've never really read the manga so i wouldn't know. Seems like the Japanese have a way of screwing up there own storylines. lol
